Question
i am a 25 year old male. about a month ago i decided to quit smoking after i have smoked for about 10 years. right around that same time i started to feel very sick the symptoms included : dizziness, tightness/heaviness in chest (both sides in breast areas) and my sternum where my ribs meet is very uncomfortable to the touch, my hands and feet would periodically become sweaty and tingly and i would get hot flashes. my neck was stiff. and i felt tired and fatigued. my stomach felt not like vomiting sick but more like if you were always sucking in your gut i also was constipated for a couple of days, then had diarrhea for a couple days. which made me not want to eat only something small once or twice a day. i thought it was just some flu so i decided to try sleep it off. next the chest pain was was mostly only on the left side and was pretty bad so i decided to go to the doctor. the doctor had me on a heart monitor and did many tests - breathing test, ekg, chest x-ray, took 5 or 6 vials of blood lab chemistry and lab hematology and he said he could not find anything to be wrong, said it could have been a panic attack, and the symptoms went away after one or two days after that. after i started to feel better i once again began smoking, but only a couple ciggs a day for about two weeks. and then i eventually ended up buying a pack of ciggs one night when i went out drinking and smoked them all. the next day im feeling weird again, its lasted for about a week. no real chest pain but a little on the left side and a little on the right when i inhale and exhale, not all the time just sometimes. my neck is stiff, i feel lightheaded and i had a mild cough which sometimes black came out (less and less as the days went) my hands didn't really sweat or tingle but my stomach felt upset again so i have only been eating small once or twice a day(no vomiting) and again i felt weak and tired (i assume from the lack of food?). it wasnt close to as bad as the time i went to the doctor so i didnt really worry about it and it started to go away. today i felt fine all day i was watching tv and all of a sudden i started to get dizzy and my chest started to hurt my hands and feet got tingly and sweaty and my neck is really stiff. also my arms like feel dead. i can move them but they feel weak. that lasted for about a half hour then went away and now i feel fine. it really freaked me out though. my question is has anyone else who quit smoking experienced symptoms like this? is this normal of someone who quits smoking? also i read that panic attacks only last 5-20mins so why would i feel like this for days? could it be a combination of the two? could this be something serious?shouldnt the doctor noticed something in the tests if something was wrong with me? anything i should do? or any specific tests i should look into getting done? any help is appreciated
