Christians who have quit smoking...?

Question
I know this doesn't really go in R&S, but you guys are the ones I trust so I wanted to ask it here. Anybody can answer, I just had to make it related to religion somehow. I want to quit smoking, but everything I've tried doesn't work. When I do try to just stop, I get so emotional that all I do is cry (and I'm NOT a crier). I've heard about these new magnet things that you are supposed to wear on your ear and they take away the cravings. Have any of you tried them? Do they work? I just want to get the opinions of people I trust before I go spend money on something else that's NOT going to work. God bless!
Answer
Hi again. As you know, I'm not claiming to be a Christian, but I do know of one thing which has been highly successful amongst my friends. It's called a nicotine pen. You insert a capsule impregnated with nicotine into a small plastic 'pen'. When the craving gets too bad you can pull this thing out and have a draw on it. You get the nicotine without all the hundred or so nasties that come with smoking cigarettes. It does make you cough just a little when you first use it and it hits the back of the throat. But it has helped so many people to wean themselves off the old tobacco. The removal of the craving is almost complete and instant! I forget where you live, but these are bought from the Chemists in the UK Drug store to you if you are an American. Hope this is of some help to you. G.
